The 11th Annual Spirit of Wellness Luncheon at the Richland Country Club was a great success again this year. We are so excited to announce the luncheon raised over $90,000 for The New Beginnings Center! We had our largest luncheon ever, and hosted 185 guests to a delicious lunch and an impactful program.

This year we honored Dr. Annis Marney with the Spirit of Wellness Award. Dr. Marney is an endrocrinologist at HCA / TriStar. She is an enthusiastic advocate of our TNBC program, referring many patients to New Beginnings. She serves on our board, supports our mission in many ways, and is a TNB Fitness client, as well. She is a great ambassador for The New Beginnings Center, and we are so grateful for her continuing support.

Every year it is our custom to invite a New Beginnings graduate to speak as to how the program impacted her. This year Dr. Rochelle Robinson shared her personal success story and passion for helping others. Rochelle has not only been a client, but also a volunteer with us, and most recently, a coach for The New Beginnings Center. We are grateful for her and all she brings to TNBC.

Our featured speaker this year was Brain Trust founder, Sherry Deutschmann. Sherry is a serial entrepreneur, author, and passionate advocate for entrepreneurship. In 2019, Sherry founded BrainTrust, a company dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

​

Prior to founding BrainTrust, Sherry was founder and CEO of LetterLogic, Inc., a company she grew to $40 Million and sold in 2016. LetterLogic was named an INC 5000 company (fastest growing privately held businesses in the US) for ten consecutive years.

​

She shared with us her secret sauce for success in the work place....empathy. She not only talked about her own journey, but shared others that she chronicles in her book "Lunch with Lucy".
