Understanding Pain Workshop:
The Science Behind How We Move and Heal
After a 21-year career in the U.S. Army, Dr. Alivia Stehlik, has opened her
own physical therapy practice, Soliloquie Physiotherapy, in Nashville. A
board-certified orthopaedic physical therapist, Dr. Stehlik specializes in
helping athletes and active individuals manage and overcome chronic
pain. Her work is grounded in a deep curiosity about how our bodies
function—and how our understanding of them can transform our
relationship to pain and movement.
Dr. Stehlik believes that knowledge is power: when we understand what pain is and what it’s trying to tell us, we can reduce fear and reclaim confidence in our bodies.
Join us on November 15th for a workshop exploring the basics of pain neuroscience. Together, we’ll learn about:
-
The different types of pain and how they manifest in the body
-
What pain signals really mean- and how to interpret them
-
Practical strategies for reframing pain to reduce fear
-
How to safely adjust movement in response to pain
-
When it's okay to keep moving, even when things hurt

This session will blend science with real-world tools, empowering you to better understand your body and move with greater confidence.
